Abstract

The invasive ant species Lasius neglectus (Van Loon, Boomsma & Andrasfalvy, 1990) (Hymenoptera, Formicidae) has been reported for the first time from the Voronezh Region, Russia (the city of Voronezh). Voronezh is currently the northernmost point of distribution for this species in European Russia. The paper describes the habitat in which the species was discovered.
