Abstract

Data on the first record of the alien jumping plant lice species Acizzia jamatonica (Kuwayama, 1908) (Hemiptera: Psyllidae), a specialized pest of plants of the genus Albizia Durazz., 1772, are presented for the Northern Azov Region. The species was recorded in urban plantings of Mariupol in October 2024. The population density of the pest was relatively high, reaching several hundred nymphs and adults per compound leaf. The invasion was most likely facilitated by the unintentional introduction with plants. Based on the age of host plants, the penetration of A. jamatonica into the Northern Azov Region presumably occurred in the early 21st century.
